Imaged Jupiter this morning in reasonable seeing......well better than it has been thus far for this apparition, as Jup steadily climbs higher prior to dawn. Have nice 685nm IR, R and RGB data covering approximately 60 minutes of rotation. Have also attached an animation of the IR data. I note 3 tiny white ovals lined up in the NTB along with a small dark feature in the middle of the STrZ which precedes the GRS. The GRS is on the F limb in the final IR data set. I also note that the SEB appears to have a well defined rather thin clear band extending from the GRS toward the P limb extending across this face of the planet. This feature was not present in my data from Dec 15th so seems confined at this stage to the region preceding the GRS.
