USB GPS and Losmandy G2

Hi Guys.

I'm looking for a USB GPS unit for my control computer and there are a multitude of them. I see Garmin have one specifically for the Losmandy but it's $239.
Considering i can buy a usb one for as little as $40 i'm loathed to pay $239.

Any glaring downside to a cheap USB GPS dongle? Or are they all much of a muchness?

I just did a search and there is plenty of info there.

I just bought the globe sat 3 off ebay for $39.
