It's fantastic what you have been able to pick up with those outer planets! Looks like that ASI174 is doing well :)

Wish it was the ASI174, I've upgraded to a IMX252 which has much better sensitivity and lower noise. Better change my details!

These things are not cheap there Phil - I just saw the price on the PT Grey Web site - $995 USD. Specs look really good though.

Yep the price was higher than I would expect to pay for this type, however the extremely high specs with the very low noise plus the gain of 48db was too good to resist. The CH4 results speak for themselves, to be able to get 10-15fps ubinned is amazing for even a 508mm mirror. I am using a CH4 889 +/-9nm filter and have just ordered a +/-4nm which will test my setup to the max. 2016 will be an exciting year for all our southern hemisphere imagers there will be some amazing planet pics and I hope to produce a few of them.
