Cats paw and helix in hydrogen alpha

Howdy
Did these objects last night.
Cats Paw 7x10 mins iso400 Ha filter
helix 6x10 mins same settings.
10 inch f5.6 newtonian, modded 350D hand guided.
Pity Im only using the red pixels, the green and blue dont get any light , and so I delete those 2 channels during processing in Iris and Photoshop.
Though no moon at first, sky rather bright, cats paw in particular very light polluted as was low in the west with a big sports ground well lit nearby

Nice images Scott. One could not admire your work considering your hand guided efforts. If you get an autoguider, you wont know what to do with yourself.:lol: :thumbsup:

Yes, an autoguider, and a monochrome sensor would both be great. With the dslr Im only getting about 1/3 of my sensor, as only the red pixels see the H.a. light. I wish Canon made monochrome CMOS sensors :)
