One of the local farm industries adds a bit of colour about this time of year in my neighbourhood: Pyrethrin.
The fields look like paddocks of snow seen from a distance, and are lovely contrasts against all their neighbours of young green plants.
The plants are processed about 20klms away in Ulverstone with the powdered and liquid end products going off to be made into useful things to kill flies, and remove the lice from your children's hair. A personal fond memory from my school days :-)

Definitely pyrethrum.

That first image is definitely something. There's a sense of tranquility to it that is so soothing :)

Love that first shot of the field. I reckon you could setup anywhere in that field and not be bothered by one mozzy.

Thanks folks. And how embarrassed am I by my spelling. It is, of course, Pyrethrum, and I even new that in the back of my mind while i was typing.
:mad2:
Jenn the Pyrethrum is Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium
