Tardigrades (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tardigrade), also known as "water bears", are strange water-dwelling, eight-legged, segmented micro-animals.
Extremophiles, they have been found in a range of locations including Antarctica, Tasmania, the deep sea and tropical rainforests.
