Hiya! Folks,
This is The TAK FSQ 85 with cooled Canon 60da.
Just under three hours of five minute subs with calibration (though my flats look like they need redoing!).
Really struggling to get any skytime recently so please be kind!
Stacked in DSS and post processed in Star Tools.
Thanks for looking
Graz:thumbsup:

Hi Graham,
Yes like Mike says its all there and from memory it's a low surface brightness so it needs really good seeing and three hours its looking good.
It's on my list of to do's.

Hi Graham. This a fairly dim target and maybe slightly out of reach of a cooled DSLR on a small refractor with limited sky time. Even so, the colour is consistent with other images of this object, the tracking and resolution are very good and your processing looks OK - good result .
Looking good, Graham. Thats a fine looking Galaxy.

looking really good Graham, just a question, why didn't you use the FLI 8300 that is listed in your signature on this, it seems like it would pair really well with that scope and you could probably go deeper.

Hi Aidan, I have been having flat issues with the 8300 (see other posts) so I took it off the mount but last weekend I actually put it back on the TAK and will be trying to get some time in the future to try it all out again. Watch this space...
