I am looking at upgrading my LX90 LNT 8" to something bigger. Since I am going to purchase a new telescope from Bintel Michael has generously offered to check and service/upgrade the firmware as well as demonstrate the operation of my telescope to a new purchaser.

LX90 for sale has following extras:
- Orion dew heater
- Meade balance counter weight.
- bobs knobs
- home made short 7" dew shield made out of hard foam - made well enough so the standard front 8" cover fits on it.
-piggyback camera bracket
- home made 6 lens tray (made from kitchen cutting board) with 3 x 1 1/4 and 3 x 2" machined holes
- home made carry case to accommodate the whole OTA WITH diagonal, the cost of parts here was $200.00
- standard 1 1/4 diagonal (Near new WO dielectric 2" diagonal $220.00 extra)

No eyepieces of any description as I have sold the original 26mm plossl. (thought I will never sell this scope). I have my own collection now and not looking to parting with any of them except perhaps my 9mm plossl that I can include here for free.

The telescope is in perfect working order with no scratches, dents etc. 1 year old.
I have the original box for the OTA but not the tripod.
Pictures on request.

$2500.00 ONO

Hmmm, got some interest but no sale yet.

Perhaps I should spell out what the deal is:

You can have the LX90LNT 8" for $2100.00 with Bobs Knobs, software cables and manual. Standard diagonal.
Or for $300 extra you can also get:
Meade weight set - cost $195.00
Meade 8" piggy back bracket cost $65.00
Orion dew heater cost $85.00
Travel case - cost $200
2" SCT Diagonal (not the William Optics but a reasonable quality one) - cost $75.00
12V power supply input voltage 240v AC 4amps - good quality ~$50.00

Do not let me wait much longer or I will change my mind...

Hiya Joe,

So is it $2400 all up now? Expressing interest.

Could you get an idea what freight would be to mackay, Qld 4740

I can personally vouch for this scope and its very exacting owner Joe, who has taken meticulous care of it. I have observed through Joe's LX90 on a number of occasions, and have always been impressed with the quality of the mirror, and quality of the view achieved through its 8 inches of aperture.

Chris
This is too much to send interstate and I do not have a box for the tripod.
I appreciate your interest but the freight cost may be prohibitive. 3 items to send, the tripod, the boxed up OTA and the travel box I've made (it is not lockable).

I now have some serious interest in this scope and one interested party promises to give answer by tomorrow.

I don't know if this scope is sold or not as yet, but I have looked through it a few times at Kulnurra and it is close to the best 8" SCT I have looked through. They don't normally excite me, but this one has very good optics.
