A couple of quickies from the Snake Valley weekend. All taken on an ED80/Canon 1100D combo (modded) on EQ6 mount.
Sculptor: 6 x 180 sec at 800 ISO with darks
Horsehead and Flame: 16 x 180 sec at 800 ISO with darks
All processed with Image Plus.
Still need to learn how to layer masking to reduce the glare from Alnitak. The Sculptor has too much magenta I think.
Comments welcome!

Looks good Bo

Alnitak is a pain!

The modded camera imbues a pink hue to everything, Scultor could do with a little less pink, but I also think there's more detail in there you could stretch out.

Hi Bo,
Not too bad but as noted Alnitak is pretty hard to defeat so you'll have that glow.
I could never get my head around Images Plus even with some help from John with it.
253 should show a bit more even with the short time on it and Horsey should also show more as well if you can calm the red down a bit, the darks should have helped with that though.
Definitely worth a bit more work on them for sure.

Nice work Bo. Haven't tried the Horsehead yet myself but getting a good image with Alnitak in the field sure looks like a challenge.

Thanks all,
I will have another go at processing, esp with NGC 253.
