I guess it is spider season
One of the last images I had taken with the RHA before it made way for a bigger 'scope.

Hi, Peter,
That's a fantastic image - maintains the drama while also showing some of the outer much fainter stuff. Shows the structure of the outlying material.
Best,

Great image Peter. You really get every last drop of performance out of your setup!

Thanks guys...but can't say I was happy with it.
Decided to do a total re-pro.
A new much larger (but cropped) version that was processed to better show the nebulosity is now at the same URL..
Think it has a more "art house" look now

You feel like you are deeply entangled right down in the web....just waiting for the spider to get you....wow! So much detail!!
Cheers,

This looks very similar to Ted's solar images.;) Did you try some new processing technique?
It will make for a very interesting look no doubt in the finished image.

 I'm always trying new techniques...hence thought I throw this one into the aether...it didn't seem to cause too many screams of horror.
Sadly, due the difficulty of changing out the RC I doubt I'll get any more data
with the Honders anytime soon. Might even sell it :eyepop:
