A wide field image of lots of galaxies in the constellation of Fornax. Star of the show is NGC 1365 (centre) with Fornax A in the bottom right of the image. Lots of other small galaxies as well (haven't tried to count them all yet!).

I agree with all the posts. An intriguing and interesting shot with a different to normal perspective.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback.

It was a fun journey arriving at this composition as I was scrolling around Sky Safari on the iPad looking for something to fill in whilst waiting for my next object (M45) to be better positioned. When the galaxy clusters in Fornax popped into view I figured that they would be worth a shot.

Well done Rodney. I have been imaging part of this area myself with the FSQ, but I don't have the same coverage that you do here. I really like the field of view you have here with NGC1316 also in the image as well as NGC1365. Nice colouring overall but maybe the background has a hint too much red. Still a lovely view.

Thanks Paul.
Some mosaics of this area with your FSQ would be very interesting.
