Took some of the tarantula Nebula as well. Focus was starting to go off a bit due to slow temperature drop.
Details
Canon 5DH, Tal 200k with Hutech focal reducer so 1790mm at F9, Hutech LPR filter, 11x8 min at ISO 400. Processed with Images Plus and Registar and adjusted for levels in PS.

The 5d makes such huge images that even with the less than perfect focus here the image still looks good.
When doing long imaging runs with your flourite lens I will occasionally a look at an image and if necessary tweak the focus as the night goes on and it cools down.

The better the optic the more careful adjustment they need. I could never get decent astro pics with the TAL until I redesigned the focuser and got better motors for the mount. It seems like we are forever chasing our tail. The really good thing is when it works it is all worth it. I will stick to the 5DH and wring everything I can out of my current optics with it.
