Hi all,
I've put a sample chapter of my new book, "Nightshift. Essays On Amateur Astronomer" here (http://www.theamateurastronomer.com/store/p2/Night_Shift._Essays_On_Amateur_Astr onomy._%C2%A0_%C2%A0_%C2%A0_%C2%A0_ %C2%A0_%C2%A0_%C2%A0_%C2%A0_%C2%A0_ %C2%A0_%C2%A0_%C2%A0_%C2%A0_%C2%A0_ %C2%A0_%C2%A0_Richard_Brown%2C_PhD. html) or click the advert on the right hand side of this page.
Thanks for looking!
Richard.

Richard - is the 'sample chapter' "Pride and Prejudice With Astronomers"?
(If not, I couldn't see it...)

Hi Dean,
No it's not. P&P with Astronomers is a bit of a lark for those fans of Jane Austen.
When you click on the link in my earlier post or on the ad at the side of every IIS page, it takes you to the book page and you will see the blue book cover graphic and a bit below it you'll see Santa in a rocking chair settling in for a good holiday read! The sample chapter link is between the blue book cover graphic and Santa!
Richard.

I just read the sample chapter Richard, I think your book would be a good read.
It brought back a few memories for me. I remember sitting cross legged in the front row on the floor in the kindergarten room at Mt Hutton Primary School. The rest of the school were squeezed in behind us as we watched Armstrong and Aldrin's history making walk on the moon.
I had all the Apollo program toys that my brother and I collected from many boxes of cereal.
It certainly was a fantastic time in history.

Thanks Kev.
Sure was an exciting time. Glad it brought back some memories for you. My best memory of the Apollo program is Armstrong's first steps on the moon. It was hard to tell what he was doing but after a few seconds I realised he was walking around. Too much for a 9 year old kid!!!!:eyepop:
