Hi everyone,

First image I have posted in a while. It is of NGC 346 in the SMC which is quite small and dim at 8' x 5' and Mag 10.0. Thought I'd go with a sort of modified hubble palette.

Telescope: RC10 CF with 0.67x astrophysics reducer
Camera: Atik One 6.0
Mount: NEQ6 pro (belt mod)
Guiding: Atik OAG with QHY5L-ii
Frames: 9 x 1200s 7nm Baader Ha, 9 x 1200s 8.5nm Baader OIII
Date : 27-28/10/15 , full moon

The detail is impressive Lucas. Feathery wisps can be seen ever where.

Interesting target and looking pretty good for a full moon

Unlike its big brother the LMC, there is not much wowyness on offer in the LMC but this is a lovely image of the best bit Lucas, restrained natural processing too, nice.

Quite a nice capture, I love the golden filaments :D Some great detail in there.

That's quite nice. You got some good detail there. You could try doing some decon on the red master to help with the registration there.

Greg.

Thanks Paul. When I first stretched the data I was really happy with the detail in this target.

Thanks Michael. I may add some extra data when I get a chance.

Thanks Rick. I love it when a nebula has that gaseous look.

Thanks Andy!

Thank you Mike. I was inspired by your IC5332 shot when I saw the detail you achieved with your image scale. I am glad it has that natural look as that was what I was going for so grateful for the feedback.

Thanks Colin. I was very happy with that golden colour also. The mapping seemed to work well.

Appreciate the feedback Greg. I did notice that the Ha data did have larger FWHMs than the OIII so I will have another go with a bit of decon.

Thanks Mike and Trish. I am glad you liked it.

I have added a repro of this image with a little decon on the Ha data as Greg suggested and I thought I would up the OIII contribution just a tad.

Thanks Rick!

Thanks Fred! I am also becoming a big fan of narrow field work. The targets are a bit more unusual and results are rewarding.

Keep coming back to this one and thinking what a good result it is.
