I am in the process of rebuilding a Sharpsky kit I recently obtained. I am at the point of getting ready to make the bracket to attach to the telescope or to the dovetail bar (more likely). The original plastic motor and PCB shrouds are not terribly sturdy nor "pretty" IMO, so I bought a cast zinc jiffy box at Jaycar for the motor.
I have worked out all the motor attachments and the temp probe position with the jiffy box, but the thing that I didn't contemplate - are motor brackets insulated from the motor itself, or am I going to have an issue attaching a metal motor bracket directly to a metal box? I don't THINK so, and I suppose I can attach a multimeter and see...but I got to find my MM again :P
Finding an appropriately sized box for the PCB is proving a pain - might need to resort to fleabay. The original needs replacing - have contacted Dave to see if he still has any.
