Had a bad run with weather lately and I'd almost forgotten I took this briefly one night back in June. I was curious to see how the dust lanes would go in STEREO, so I've tried to increase the effect somewhat on the outer lanes to generate more depth of field towards the centre.

DETAILS:
18mm F/4 (tripod)
9 x 30sec, ISO 3200
10 June 2015

CROSS VISION INSTRUCTIONS:
In cross eye freeviewing the image for the left eye is on the right and the image for the right eye is on the left. You stare at a point about 1/2 way to the screen so that your eye's gaze is crossing at the half way point.
As you cross your eyes the image will go double. When your eyes are crossed the correct amount, the middle images will overlap and be in 3D. The two outer images may remain in your peripheral vision and will be in 2D.

Thanks for looking.
Cheers, Evan.

Hi John, all 3D processing is done in Photoshop. The left image is my original, and the right is where most of the work is taking place. I distort the image using the displace tool and then skew the stars/dust etc, which moves them towards/away from the viewer.

Thats one of the bests 3D images of this type/style I've seen - very interesting appearance too  Awesome processing there Evan

Thanks Bob, much appreciated. I wasn't 100% sure how it'd turn out, but it ended up working well with all the dust. For the 3D workflow I use, please see my response in the Horse Head nebula

Thanks Adrian! :)

Cheers,
Evan
