I had a crack in colour (ST-8300C) on NGC 346. Managed only 1hr30 before it was out of my imaging sphere, but here it is as a starter anyway.
Really harsh gradients in this thanks to the severe LP around, so my fixing attempts may be a touch harsh, and maybe my saturation might be "obvious". I am also finding the IDAS LP2 filter I recently got may be a little TOO inhibitory compared to my older no-name branded one (from OptCorp), as the muting all round was VERY harsh, and left a VERY green cast even after background neutralisation. I am also suffering vignetting with the system - seems my filter stack for the OSC is intruding into the light cone seeing I changed from an M42 LP filter to an M48 LP filter, which meant where previously the LP filter was on top of the CCD cover slip, it is now at the end of the 2" nosepiece (STILL waiting for my precise parts adapter...) All a learning curve :)
Will add H-a next (from the OSC) to bring out the reds more, and some shorter subs to not blow out the lovely little globulars in it's neighbourhood.
It is still VERY noisy with only 1hr30, so purists may be offended :)
