So I recently purchased some 15x70 binoculars and surprise surprise find them hard to hold steady. They came with a tripod attachment.
Do i just need to buy a standard camera tripod for these or are there binocular specific tripods?
Thanks in advance!!!

They will work on any tripod. But the tripod will need to be fairly sturdy, or you will just be facing the same problem again. Some folk use a monopod with a ball head on it. Seems an easy way to add some stability, which can be supplemented by sitting down or leaning against a wall.

:sadeyes:Yes they do get heavy and wobbly fast and as said any sold tripod will do but the monopod suggestion is a good idea. , until you find one just use a small. (clean ) broom upside down resting the binoculars on the bristles covered by a clean rag , this works suprisingly well.

I use a monopod at 15x power but use a trigger head, much easier thsnba bal head. Most standard tripods are not tall enough, better to go for tall 6ft model to allow standing, check andrewscom & telescopesastronomy, both gave affordable suitable tripods

Thanks everyone for answering me. Good point about getting one with reasonable height for more comfortable viewing. Will start to look into it now.
