Hi Everyone.

Always thought the Eagle looked a little boring in RGB when compared to so many vibrant NB versions. However, having never imaged it I thought I should give it a go while the nights were still relatively cool.

Ended up with 60 x 4 minute subs imaged over three nights.

Imaged with the C11 Edge HD with .7x focal reducer (1960mm FL) F7.
Mount - CGEM DX
Canon 60Da @ ISO 800

Integration, 4 hours in total.

Calibrated with darks and flats, processed in Pixinsight.

Warning!! Decon was used ;)

Thanks for Looking

Cheers

You've got nice contrast there Rod. That's often hard to get with RGB. Nicely done. Decon is certainly not obvious, but eagle-eye Mike will probably jump in here.

Nice job, Rod! Tricky to do this object nicely in RGB.

Nice image Rob. Heaps of detail and the high res holds up really well. Well done.

Thanks Geoff! I was happy with contrast. The Decon parameters were actually the same as I used in the swan image however, I used a different noise reduction method in this image with smoother results. I used TGV in the swan image producing a some what powdery effect , then Decon just sharpened the powder :D.

Cheers Rick!

Thanks Paul! Its not a knock out but I was quite happy with the DSLR result.

Love the C11 Edge Dunk, sooooo versatile, F10, F7, F2 and visual awesomeness :D

Cheers! :)

Thanks for having a look, Morton. :)

Great image and show Rod, The Eagle is a great target in my books, good for wider fields and goes great guns in a closer up as here.
Mighty fine image !!
