hello members
wondering if anybody could identify this fault and specifically if they have seen this before
it deffinately was not a bumped telescope because all subs are the same
i am also within 3' of pole in azimuth and altitude and both are guided
i usually do get nice round stars with this same setup and i have not changed anything
both pics are close to the centre of the frame but they are cropped to view

What part of the sky was this? Did you balance with more weight in one direction?

yes i did glen, both in the east and counterweight biased
i might re balance tonight and give it another go i suppose
i am worried about differential flexure, however i do not seem to have suffered this before
thanks glen

Not sure of the problem, but the streaking appears to be almost exactly east-west in the second (NGC253) frame. What's the orientation of the streaks in the first one? If it's exactly along one axis, that may give a clue to the issue - tracking, backlash etc? How's the guiding graph - any jerkiness or sudden shifts?
