Took this in the 1/2 hour before 1st light to test how low i could get my sensor
-15deg
12x3min subs, flats, no darks

Some light pollution is evident, i know there is a lot more nebulosity but smoke (%&@!), heat and the approaching wet might make it difficult to get more subs, may have to leave it until this time next year !!!

Changed my guidescope from 50mm to 80 after tweaking polar alignment, stars are improved,
Thanks Raymo and Russ for their suggestions

Cheers

stars / PA look much better in this one George. you've managed some whispy stuff, but the image is a bit too black clipped to show more of the neb.

Great work George. What scope/camera combo did you use?

I wouldn't worry about the gradient. Instead I'd take an identical stack of images with the field centred towards the bottom of this image and build a mosaic. The gradient will smooth out a lot from that and you'll have an easier time framing the whole thing.

Cheers,
Cam
