1882303rd set from last night
Same equipment
15x3min
13x1min
9x30sec
Did these different exposures for a 1st attempt a layer blending, will need a lot of practise

Andromeda, horsey and this do look better on my computer, there is some pixellation in reducing size to fit the 200kb limit

That's a ripper as far as the blending goes, but the stars are elongated,
which suggests that your guiding needs improving. With round stars
that would be a main forum image.

Well captured you managed to show the trap and a lot of nebulosity , well done

Thanks Raymo, a great compliment
The guiding was much better than it looks, i couldn't get the layers to match each other exactly, so the stars are more elongated, but they are elongated as you observed, haven't worked that out yet.
Any suggestions
My polar alignment is pretty good at the moment, i think i need PEC to improve the guiding

I just assumed that guiding was the cause. It's no good asking me for
suggestions regarding processing. I'm nearly 80, and not very comp. literate, spent nearly 50 years doing film AP.

Hi George

I personally think these images are great.

Wish I could get this kind of detail, love the colours too.

:thanx:
Thanks Gav, my processing is pretty basic at the moment, CS6 mainly levels and curves with hue and saturation don't know how to use masks, etc yet,
I am going to stick with photoshop, other programs like pixinsight are too complicated .
The wet season up here is fast approaching so the next few months will be spent trying to improve my processing skills.
Cheers
