Hi all
Just replaced azimuth bearings to super sliders and they work realy well , no jerkiness at all.

Excellent. Still have to go and buy mine yet. What are the 4 small screws in the upper half of the base for?

Is that another of the same teflon pads in the centre?
If so you may have stability issues ie the base might wobble.
Ideally it shouldnt be there and the weight distributed upon the three outer pads.

actually I have the EXACT same configuration...and NO the base doesn't wobble any way whatsoever...I also apply a little bit of vasoline on the sliders and the motion is buttery smooth.

So there are no wear or roughness issues when not using a dedicated sliding surface?

Vasoline or anything oily is going to attract dirt like nobodies business . I strongly recommend cleaning it all off. You should be able to get acceptable motion without any lubricants.
