Took this picture last night of NGC 6723 , 6726, 6727 & 6729. The two blue reflection nebula nebulae are NGC 6726 & 6727 and the small yellowish nebula is NGC6729 which surrounds the variable star R coronae australis. Below the nebula are dark obscuring dust clouds. You can also see arcs and loops in the blue nebula identified as Herbig Haro objects associated with energetic newborn stars. The small globular cluster on the upper left is NGC6723. Pictures were taken using a SW ED120 with an orion x0.8 focal reducer and Celestron nightscape camera (10.7Mp).
Picture comprises 30x 180 sec subs with darks , lights and flats. The first is the full picture and the following two are increasing crops to show the nebulae.
