Fuji X Mount lense for astro

Hi all,

Any recommendations on a wide angle X Mount lens? Any hands on experience? I see there is a 14mm f/2.8 but report says it's got soft corners.

I have the 27mm f/2.8 pancake which is perfect optically but not wide enough for astro wide field.

Fuji 14mm F2.8 XF is an awesome lens. A very tiny part of a corner can be a bit off but otherwise perfect wide open. A rarely almost perfect lens.

The Fuji 18-55 F2.8 is also a very good lens wide open at 18mm;

I'd like a 12mm rokinon for my fuji x cameras.

What I do have is the fuji 18mm f2 prime I use for MW galaxy.

Not that wide, but does a nice job, a keeper.

I have the 12mm Samyang/Rokinon...it's inexpensive and wide, but the corners are filled with shapes. I don't recall if this was at f/2.0 or f/2.8.

The top left particularly of the 14mm F2.8 XF looks to have some crosses and softness. Any chance of a full size image?

The panorama is a bit hard to tell the quality of the lens, because ... well, you know how panorama's stretch things :) ... would be great to see an individual frame :)

No worries Roger, here are a couple, a straight jpeg from a month ago and the second is a RAF I banged out quickly in LR the other night when time was to spare. I'm yet get the time to really process them and establish a preset so please no-one judge them as they are thanks!
It gives an idea of coma, not shocking. :).

Both are the 18mm at f2, around iso 1600 or 2000, 30 secs via remote release. Not wide, but a nice scale for detail I think. Then, there is the crop and stitching option anyway. That would be the go. :thumbsup:

The Zeiss 12mm is very good at F2.8 and excellent at F3.5 and a much better deal these days than when I bought mine
