Found this new camera filter combo from QHY to be very interesting..

Due out 16 September


The mono and the OSC are US$699 (on special). Works out to around $1000-1100 plus customs.

This camera looks very interesting on paper: 74% QE, 2e read noise and well depth 18k (more than ICX694 that has larger pixels), built in filter wheel and efficient cooling for about 1000 AUD - a very neat camera when getting into astrophotography :)

P.S. The website states that filters will be for 50US a piece.

It does look quite interesting. Not great for widefield, but might work on smaller DSOs, at least with my setup.
