Jupiter is so low in the west now at about 7:30pm that I can actually see it through a gap in the trees, even if it's only at 19° :)
Captured this last night after an amazing and frustrating lunar session (more on that later).
The seeing was brilliant at 6:30pm, but deteriorated by 7:30pm when I captured this Jupiter with the 2x barlow - plus Jupiter was down low in the muck and light pollution over Gosford.
I promise, no more Jupiter this year! :)

Hi Mike
You also managed to pick up a Galilean moon at 4-o-clock!
Cheers

Thanks for the fix Mike.
Looking forward to next year with improved results form many planetary capturers.
If you stretch the levels far enough you can see the trees in the corner....
Just kidding.......:P
Well done mate.

Good effort considering. Jupiter came in handy last night for my drift aligning lol. It was actually not a bad sight through the eyepiece just on dusk, I didn't bother going for a capture though.
Good work Mike.
Jupiter is now a very fleeting visual object. My ToUcam is sitting in a box calling out to me to get up at Silly A.M and have a go at Saturn:lol:

As always a great image Mike.
I agree - Joop is way low in the sky. In the only dark part of my garden and before you can say "im setting up the telescope" - joop has disappeared behind the house.
Yes, looking forward to having a go at Saturn.
Cheers Petra
