First post for a while--weather, guide camera problems
This is just a short grab, but it shows promise once I get a bit more data.
Telescope: 12.5" Plane Wave
Mount: AP900
Camera: FLI Proline 16803

Very nice image Geoff, some more data will help to reduce the noise it will be amazing when you are done.

That's a wonderful field there Geoff. I like it a lot.
Greg.
Beautifully done Geoff! Lovin the contrast and colour already. Can't wait to see it with more data.

Thanks Aiden
Thanks Mike. Not stalking--just the same eye for a good image.
Thanks Greg. The wide field of the 16803 really comes into its own on images like this one.
Thanks Rex. Fingers crossed for clear weather at the next new moon.

Thanks Colin. I presume you meant "...for NOT a whole lot of data..."
Thanks Jeff. When I saw a pic of the field I decided that it was one I just had to do.
Thanks Lee. Be nice if I can get some good seeing on the luminance to sharpen up the detail
Thanks Marc. The FLI and the focal length are pretty right for this one. Long enough to get some detail and wide enough to get lots of faint fuzzies.

Wow huge field of view. I wonder how much more detail you would get with a bit more time.

Thanks Paul. I guess time will tell!
Thanks Rick. Hopefully I can get some sort of backup guiding camera organised for the next new moon, otherwise it's going to be a 300mm lens on a QSI running piggyback on the PlaneWave and using the Proline16803 for an occasional guiding correction.

Very nice galaxy cluster image :) ... and such little data too! 13x600s is not much for all that nice colour!

Very pretty field! Gotta be happy with that! Nice one Geoff! Worth gathering more data for sure!

Thanks Roger. I've found that there is often more colour than meets the eye at first sight. It's just a matter of digging it out. In this case I used the saturation option in PixInsight's CurvesTransformation and then targeted the blue spiral arms with ColorSaturation.
Thanks Mark. More data is definitely on the agenda.
