I'm making use of the wet weather by catching up on my image processing.
Here is the Triffid Nebula from a week or two ago.
Approx 3 hrs of 240sec subs with darks.
I sort of forgot how to process images with StarTools, so I'm not 100% happy with the result. I had a bit of trouble colour balancing. I usually like to stay on the conservative side so this may be a bit too saturated.
What do y'all think?

Actually I was just thinking that you had kept the colour saturation under control nicely. Nice job.

Agreed, very nicely done. I might be tempted to stretch it a little more to give more contrast in the dark lanes, but that's a question of taste :D

Thanks for the comments.
Despite nearly forgetting how to use it I'm really impressed with StarTools. Probably not in the same league as PI, but as a low cost alternative it does output some great results.
There are still many features I haven't learnt so hopefully I'll continue to improve in my processing.
I still look in awe at the images some others are posting.

Nothing wrong with that image Kev. Which scope did you use, I would guess the 250mm?

Yeah, as follows Glen,
GSO 250 F4
AZ-EQ6
Unmodded Canon 1000D
Orion Mini Guidescope
Backyard EOS
DSS & StarTools
I think it ended up about 42 or so 240sec subs with about 40 darks. No flats or bias.
