Tried my hand for the first time on guiding on a comet head with PhD 2.5 and found it remarkably easy to do.
I became so enthralled with it I took several 10min subs (as well as RGB frames) but as you can see from the attached image the stars were trailed. So I took 1 min and 2 min subs at 2x2 and the stars were quite nice circles so I stayed on it for my last night and obtained about 3 hours of data as it drifted through the star field.
Hopefully I can make this into a movie ( any suggestions) to see it glide through the stars, but Ill have to master DSS again or some other program.
In the image below the comet has a nice glowing head to it and two tails showing quite prominently. Scope used 127mm Apo at 950mm FL and camera was QSI583 (10minL, single frame).
