Just though I'd share, you cant believe how excited I am about this.
A while back I started trying build my family tree but gave up as there was conflicting information and missing links (explains a lot).
Anyway a few weeks ago my daughter asked for names of my Grandparents so she could add them to her family tree. So I again started searching through various geneology search engines for names and places I thought were correct with no luck.
Then by mistake I hit search after only entering my grandmothers maiden name which obiously returned thousands of matches...
Browsing the pages at random I saw two unusual names together, that in themselves meant nothing to me other than some similarity to one name I had, these were Sitrenus & Setrenus Huxley. I had always (incorrectly) thought my great-grandfathers name was Sylvenus but on my GrandFathers side. After clicking a few links on these names bang there it was on one page.....
At Great-Grandfathers the whole family together listed on the form for Census night 1901, 25 years before my father was born.
Union Huxley (51) My Great-Grandmother
Setrenus Huxley (50) My Great-Grandfather
William Wakeman (20) My Grandfather
Amy Wakeman (20) My Grandmother ,daughter of Setrenus and Union, wife of William,
John Wakeman (1) Son of William and Amy, my Uncle Jack
Harry Huxley (9) Son of Setrenus and Union
Jane Huxley (19) Daughter of Setrenus and Union
John Huxley (21) Son of Setrenus and Union
Sitrenus Huxley (27) Son of Setrenus and Union
Kate Huxley (27) Wife of Sitrenus
Harry Huxley (2) Son of Kate and Sitrenus
Silvenus Huxley (4) Son of Kate and Sitrenus
Joseph Huxley (44) Brother of Setrenus
Ive also attached a blank copy of a 1891 census form, same as used in 1901. Bit simpler than this years, just have a look at column 16.
