I'll kick this off with Dicksonia Antarctica a species of evergreen tree fern native to eastern Australia, ranging from south-east Queensland, coastal New South Wales and Victoria to Tasmania.

This is our Callistemon(Bottle Brush), not sure on the variant but it's just sprouting some new flowers.
It's the one native Australian plant that I can say for sure is in our new garden.

I thought I'd go with a Banksia from my front yard.

Decided to change my entry for this month. :P
I had some nice healthy orchids come into flower recently so hence the change.:)

Along the highway south of Charters Towers. Haven't found out what they were, but they were spectacular.

Our Botanical Gardens, while small, has a brilliant little orchid house, entry of only $2.50 well worth it.

Heaps of natives, I think this is one! if not, I have some more if someone spots it as an intruder.

Have it's name but am at work just now, try to add it later.

Ok thanks to Aus Orchid Council, it as an Paphiopedilum insigne.

Also just replaced original the raw conversion, same pic, but converted in LR not camera. Hope that is ok.

I took this back in 2010 when I visited a mine-site just north of the Flinder's....

Cheers,

Dunno what this is called but they're everywhere, so I assume they are Native, Lol
Taken with Canon 50mm F1.4 @ F6 with 25mm TeleXtender
View from Straight above, hence no see stem - kinda makes it 'pop'
I will/have post a side profile in -comments- section
