Hi all,
I have a 10” Schmidt Newtonian on an LXD55 mount for sale.
New to the hobby, my nephew recently acquired the scope, but it’s too big for him at this stage, so I’ve suggested a smaller and easier set-up to start with.
The scope and mount look to be complete, with the exception that the Hand Controller is missing.
With the help of a fellow IIS’er and his hand controller (thanks Bo), we recently fired up the mount and both motors work, although a good strip down and regrease is likely required as I don’t think the scope has been used for a long period of time.
The optics and tube appear to be in very good condition.
The original rings are included, but an aftermarket dovetail has been installed as the original was broken (included).
The original boxes are also included.
I would prefer a local buyer so the scope can be inspected, but I can’t run the scope as I don’t have the hand controller.
Further pictures available to interested parties.
I'm aware that these SN10's are a bit of a collector's item, but I'm not certain of it's value. Genuine reasonable offers welcome.
Thanks for looking.
Paul
