And it was the quickest first light imaginable. Bloody cloud. This is a single image with darks applied. That sounds ridiculous. I could not believe it in the middle of the desert with nothing but clear sky everywhere and within an hour of getting everything going in it came.
The positive is I know things all work. 20 minute hydrogen alpha 7nM filter through my TEC 140 with field flattener. SBIG 8300m self guiding. Still a great night. I have processed the crap out of this.

Looks like everything is honed down and working the way it should. Really nice for a single sub! Can only get better from here :P

Everything seems to be working very well.
Better luck next time with the weather. I am sure there will be many clear nights coming up.
Greg.

Ah Ha - new scope syndrome!! Can occur even in the desert it seems!
Looking good for sharpness and contrast.
All the best,

Great first light Mark, the sub looks very good.
Maybe we should be supplying telescopes to drought affected areas?

The thing is that many people would be happy with that if it was
a stacked image. [including me].

Nice single sub Mark. Look forward to the final image.
No, no, no, and NO. Keep using it where it is.:eyepop: Keep attracting the cloud and rain up there. Just look at what it does for Mark's imaging.:D
