Hi,

Nice to have some clear skies.!!:)

I have imaged these two before but not in the same frame.
Quite please with this image, quite an interesting contrast between the two. I'm getting some depth to the nebulous clouds around IC 4603.

8” F/4 astrograph , baader type 3 coma corrector,. HEQ Pro 5 mount, orion mini guider.
Camera.
Unmodded Cannon 1100D plus cooler box. 48 subs x 2 minutes at ISO 6400. Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker .Processed in Photoshop Cs2..

Cheers,

Justin.

This is a great region of sky. You don't often see people take images of small sections of the wider complex. I really like it. More data should help tame the noise in the louder sections.

Nice different take on a reasonably common object Justin. Nice detail in the nebula and good star colours. Nice job mate!

Hi Justin,

I like this a lot, I think worth putting in the extra hours it will be a fairly unique shot.

I captured a small bit of data on ic4604 a while ago https://www.flickr.com/photos/80336656@N07/17860225021/in/dateposted-public/ and decided not to pursue it any further after realising how dim it actually was at that FOV, so I can appreciate how much digging you've had to do here! Great framing and processing.

Thanks Rex!

It would be interesting to see you image this region with your modded 1100D.

Thanks Rusty!

My first image of IC 4604 wasn't much different to yours. Using ISO 6400 has made the difference, mind you sometimes there's no advantage when there's plenty of signal.
Hope to get some more time soon on this.

Cheers,

Justin.
