My Celestron 130 SLT Nexstar computerized Newtonian Telescope is for sale. My wife bought it for me as a surprise gift. I assembled it and it's a very nice quality scope but as a 77 year old computer dunce, I will never get used to properly aligning the go-to. The Nexstar "Precise Go-To" is supposed to be far more accurate than the standard Go-To's but despite the seemingly simple instructions, I couldn't get it to track to where I told it.
After two frustrating evenings, everything went back in the box so it's as near to new as a telescope can get. I didn't take a photo when it was assembled but there are plenty on the internet.
The retail price for this telescope is $1,349.00. Ozscopes sells it for $945.95.
I'll accept $800.00 o.v.n.o. I'm going to stick with my old solid tube Dobsonian and leave computers to those who know what they're doing.
