Good Day Everybody!
So I have just put down my final deposit for my Celestron Nexstar 8SE, which after much deliberation, I have decided to be my first telescope.
The main issue I need to address right now is that of power for the base.
I am aware of the potential frustration with trying to deal with only the 8X AA batteries which the unit is designed to take; However I do want (maybe two sets) of good batteries to go in there, at the very least so I have *some* power to get started, but moreso as redundancy, incase the main power connector comes undone & the scope loses track.
I would like to have about 3 power options, & I really have hit a wall at the moment with figuring out just what I will need.
1) What are some AA batteries, preferrably rechargable, that will do the job?
I have looked at the Eneloops; I already have 8 of them, & they seem like decent batteries, however will they be enough power? Would it be better to get the eneloop pros (the black ones)?

Are the 12V outputs on this properly regulated? Will they provide 'clean' power to the scope, or will I need to stick another inverter or something between the 12V ciggy-out plugs & the scope?
3) Are these suitable to supply power from the mains to the scope on its own?

Our front deck is not tooo bad for viewing the sky, & there is a 240V GPO right there, so I would like to be able to power straight off the mains when I'm setup.
Also, I am assuming that my 8SE will *not* come with the 12V-ciggy-plug-to-scope cable, like these:

Anybody know where I can get one (besides these eBay ones which I think are too expensive, too far away, & will take too long to ship to me)?
That's all I can think of right now. I'm sure I will have more questions as things progress closer to first light.
I would just like to say that I am pretty much a complete beginner at this. There has been an absolute mountain to climb with just trying to even *buy* a scope; It's going to be even more fun with everything I have to learn to *use* the thing! xD
But one thing at a time, I need to get power requirements organized next.
