Another M8 .. I think this is my third thread this season but this is actually a new capture and not a reprocess. and with the lack of clear skies i'm cabin fevering up.

my last one had crazy stars (tilt) on the left half and the core just seemed all out weird. but the rest of the image I liked including the faint background looked good (older version) https://www.flickr.com/photos/80336656@N07/19758687305/in/dateposted-public/lightbox/

New version here; stars crazy to the left for different reasons and focus / dew softened image a bit. Uncertain of colour but the core is better than first and second versions.

Fingers crossed we get some clear skies soon.

Nice one Rusty, I like the colour of this one better than your previous versions.

Your previous version has more colour and detail.

Very nice detail Rusty. I think it's a bit too magenta though.

Thanks for that Steve. processing on a tv makes it hard to judge colour and brightness.

Nice work Russell!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I think this version is better, the central region seems more natural not so harsh.
Do you use and LP filter?
Just wondering as the red seems a little different.

Cheers,

Justin.

Hi Justin,

Cheers for the comment, yes I use an astronomik ccd cls that may be the reason, or perhaps just my colour balancing!
