Reprocessed the 20 mins I have on M8 (bad focus etc) using my newly "found" Lanzcos/sinc 36 algorithm in CCDStack - where hast thou been all my life! What a difference it makes to colours etc!!!

Yes, Mike is right - there be plenty of O3 in M8, even in a crappy 20 minute exposure! I just couldn't bring myself to push it neon pink though.

Ignore the crap photo, just see the blue lagoon :)

Nice one Lewis. I find that's the biggest problem with software, there are so many tools etc these days that it takes ages to experiment with settings and find what works with your set up.

Nice one Lewis, just a bit too dark in my monitor on the low lights (but I am not using my calibrated monitor at the moment so I may be wrong..)

Thanks, but you are all being FAR too polite - the photo is pure carp faeces. It was more just an experiment in seeing what each of the stacking algorithms was capable of showing.

So far, for my OSC, the Lanczos/sinc 36 works the best.
