Just to paraphrase the Sidonio-meister :)

Single 10 minute shot of Antares and regions I took after I had used it as a focus aid with Bahtinov a while back (thought I had discarded it). So,again, I stretched the living daylights out of it. LOTS of noise, colour just starting to develop...

Tak FSQ-106ED, SBIG ST-8300C, Vixen GPD2 mount, Lodestar guiding with a finder-guider (solid mounted to tube rings).

1/4 actual image size, slightly cropped

Nice detail starting to show there Lewis, and that glob is nocely resolved also.

It's a hard shot as Antares is so bright but you definitely have some nice dust there.

Yeah sure Lewis...that's just the full moon on a foggy night with high cloud and that's the Pleiades top right ...isn't it? :P

What's that overwhelming flare you seem to be getting with your Tak Lewis?

I've not seen that yet with my Esprit :P

Lewis - Interesting image. Is the flaring caused by dew on your scope.

Cheers

I reckon you burnt it. Might wanna try a few short subs to reveal the core. :P
