But I hope you like it, quite a wide field with my Tak E-130D.
15 shots of 5 mins Ha (6nm) combined with 20 shots of 5 mins colour with the A7s.
Seeing was real bad this night, so the stars are nowhere as tight as I'd prefer. But you gotta make hay while the clouds stay away! Tried a different way of emphasising the Ha, but it seems to have smudged some of the detail. Oh well, it's good to experiment to learn..

Hmmm- love the FOV and the colours. Not sure what's happened to the details? Have a look at Paul Heases' super detailed recent one by comparison and you'll see what I mean. Could just be the poor seeing but maybe Mike or Greg may have some insight?
Well worth revisiting though :)

Nice work with the Sony A7s, in particular doing Ha work with it. The A7r II is what many are looking out for being back illuminated. Should be make it impressive for astro work. The image has the appearance of being noise reduced then sharpened again. I don't think this would be attributed to seeing but processing. Perhaps worth a repro.

Nice colours but I agree that something went a little funky during the processing.

Great colours / framing Simmo.
Too bad about the seeing! As you say got to take it, it definitely degraded a couple of my shots from the other w'end.

Not too bad. Colour is good. As you say not really sharp though a work in progress.

Great DSLR shot!
Good one Simon. Nice colours mate. As you said sometimes experimentation pays off so you have to try it out.
