NGC 6726 corona australis

In the rare moment of semi decent weather there was a gap of about an hour that allowed me to capture my first image of corona australis. This is an LRGB with 80 Mins Lum and 10 each of RGB before cloud covered everything again. I'll have to have another go when I can get more time on it.

nice one Paul, you've managed quite a bit of the faint stuff with short exposure. I like the colour in the reflection neb.

One advantage of a Fast Newt is it's ability to shoot in the short periods between clouds. :lol:

we nearly have an identical setup - I think its a fast newt AND a cooled mono camera that allows short periods between the clouds ;) found it interesting seeing the difference in FOV between our images.

It's also the reducer flattener. brings it down by 0.95X to F 3.8

I notice you are using the 3" wynne CC which focuser are you using? I would need to get something like http://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p5903_TS-Optics-2-5--Wynne-Newton-coma-corrector-0-95x-for-big-sensors.html if I was to upgrade the RCCI because of the moonlite being 2.5".

Would be a pleasing image if it weren't for the blue cast. Try balancing your RGB channels referring to the histogram. The image is blue and green dominant as the red channel is black clipped.

Hi Jase yes there was a lot of colour in the pic it was a bit of an experiment. Here is a more balanced version with the blue green cast removed.

Nice image of a favourite subject Paul.
Prefer what you did with the second image because I found the blue sky of the first one a bit too much.
There's excellent detail and colour.
