Hi all,

here is my first attempt at corona australis,
definitely one of the objects that captured my imagination as a kid, still recall the AAO version to this day.
Definitely needs more time and or dark skies. 2 hrs 45 mins worth here, hard to bring the dust through. not so happy with the reflection neb, i've got it nice in less pushed versions.

Hi Russ, not bad mate, like you said I think more time will help. Only other thing, your stars seem a little flat or something, can't quite put my finger on it. That may be a result of pushing it so hard as you have said. Overall not bad, can't wait to see the finished version if you get some more subs.

Nice one. Lots and lots of detail in the Herbig-Haro tangle, despite the wide field.

Trish and I had a go at this on the first clear night in a century, only to have the focuser motor misbehave (unattended) due to my thoughtfully having dropped a shim while lubricating the gears. All fixed now that it's raining.

Good work.
Best,
Mike

Thanks for the encouragement Rex, yep i'll need some more data for sure to iron it out a bit and probably a reprocess or two!

Thanks Mike, definitely looking forward to seeing what you guys can produce with your focal length and know how

Nice composition, Rusty. Lots of data required for these dark, dusty objects!

Cheers,
Rick.

I'd like to see it with about 20-30% of the original colour scheme blended back in..? :)

Thanks Alex!

Cheers again Justin  not as nice as your rendition, yours and Kevins are my favourite dslr versions.

Thanks Rob, yep that brown dust is very interesting.

Thanks Kevin - I really like your version of this, you really managed to get the blues coming out.

Thanks Rex!

Cheers Mike, I might give it a crack tonight if time allows. I do find it hard to get colour / brightness right - particularly for darker shots as I process my images on the living room TV.
