Very good observation, Kevin. I didn't see it. Taking CDC as carte it seems to be the Open Cluster Pismis 19. An intemediate stage open cluster with an intensive reddish color, which is an effect of the strong reddening through dust in this region of the sky. It deserves a better image. I will try to do it.
