Been a while since any successful imaging has been done. Weather, broken equipment, shifting house, setting up an observatory, and finally tinkering with the new setup, attaching a new focuser, basically, trying to get everything as right as possible before imaging.
Finally, I am happy with the rig and just have to collect more data and be more selective with the collected subs.
The experiment was seeing how RGB filters worked with 90 second subs from a semi-light-polluted location.
Hasn't worked too bad, but I think I need to put a light pollution in the imaging train enable longer subs. Shouldn't have any undesirable effects with monochrome imaging. Please tell me if you think it will.

He is alive! I started suspecting you sold you equipment and moved overseas Scott ;)

Great to hear you got your astro gear working. Nice image and would possibly be enhanced if green haze was removed. As for the light pollution filter, I would not except a dramatic difference but testing is the only way to know for sure.

Looking forward to seeing more of your images Scott.

Yes you can't get rid of me that easy!
I think the next bit of tinkering is the focus. A motorised USB focuser would be noice, all controlled by the computer. Need to save!

I might have a reprocess and remove the synthetic green layer, do a bi-colour... with Ha

Doing a repro is the best way to improve processing and to learn new tricks :)

Motorised focuser with automatic focus control is gold. I am currently using SGP to control my motorised Moonlite and it works very well - it's quite awesome to watch how it automatically adjusts focus as ambient temperature drops. I liked it so much than I even recently also got motorised rotator...
