Having a mid winter break and just loving the dark Qld skies from a campsite on the edge of town :)

Yup, my father's family all come from (and still live) in Monto and Moonford - it get's DARK out there.

In the centre of Monto where my grandparents live, I still go outside at night and naked eye see things I need a telescope for where I live.

I've become quite fond of Monto in my few days here. A very friendly and agreeable part of the world :)
