Drove 110 km to Blanchetown tonight to capture the International Space Station appear to travel between Venus and Jupiter. Only a few places in SA got to see this view. Clouds almost spoiled the show, but I got most of it, so pretty happy.
Wider field with Canon 1100D at about 35mm.
Cropped shot used a Nikkor 100 mm on a D7000.
I wish I'd have had more time to plan, but I only heard of it this morning.
Cheers

I would have given you more notice Bob, but I only worked it out when I saw a post from the Sydney Observatory yesterday morning and then generated the next Adelaide pass on HA. I then noticed that it passes close to Venus/Jupiter. It took a bit of time to work out where the path would split them where there were roads to access a viewing spot. With a bit of trial and error you may find another one in the next few weeks.

No worries Jeff. I'm just happy that i saw your post and got to see it at all. It was quite surreal actually watching it. I didn't expect as much star/planet movement though for the focal length / exposure times used, so i should have taken the mount. These were just tripod shots.
