Anyone that can get to the Sydney Olympic Park area on July 8th at 530pm. An ISS transit will thread a line between Jupiter and Venus almost occulting both. See attached charts and map.
Most of the area covered by the attached map will see this ISS conjunction passing between .
On the edge of this area, the satellite will pass very close to either Jupiter or Venus. The rest of Sydney will see a close pass.

Hi Joe
Well worth a look if anyone can make it.:)
This is what it looked like from Brisbane tonight (6th June at approx. 5:46 pm AEST) with a Canon 40D and 50mm F1.4 lens.
I also managed to record an aeroplane trail inward to Brisbane Airport.
The planetary insets are through a Vixen ED102S Refractor and the ISS inset is with a Canon 7D and Canon 400mm F5.6 lens with x1.4 Extender.
Cheers
Dennis
Nice sight from Mt Kuring-Gai in Sydney's northern suburbs this afternoon
with mostly clear views down to the western horizon. Unfortunately a scud
cloud partially covered Venus at the instant the ISS passed.
A dozen or so vehicles pulled over onto the side of the Pacific Highway
here to watch the event which is testimony to how a little media coverage
can generate interest by the general public.
