I picked up another 4 hours of SII data (bringing the total amount to 26.5 hours), so I decided to do a reprocess. I think I like the colouring on this version and it is more in line with the palette I have been working with for the last year.

My favourite is still the Trifid. I really like the colour, but I think the Lagoon has a better palette now.

I have included the former image just for comparison.

I think I am done now with this data and now it is time to move onto the next object. :)

Sulphur has definitely added extra heat to the image ;-)

I agree that Trifid is such a beautiful nebula and it has nice contrasty colours. Overall, I really like this image

I like it. The Lagoon is definitely lifted. You got some great hourglass core detail which is surprising for small aperture. The Trifid is different and I think I could like it, its just I like the usual straight colour of the Trifid.

Really nice Paul. The palette is really cool, very unusual but very effective:thumbsup:

Wow, really beautiful Paul, colours are out of this world, so to speak 😆

Thanks Tim, David and Simon for your comments.

Thanks Slawomir, I think the Trifid looks very dynamic and all those colours seem to work so well. Not so certain about the Lagoon though.
It could probably do with some more sulphur though.

Thanks Greg. The detail is quite amazing really for such a little scope and considering the sampling rate too. I can see why you would like the traditional RGB look of the Trifid. Its such a beautiful object with the blue, green and reds. Some really cool star colours too. Its hard to beat that look.

Very smooth. The final looks awesome. Collecting a lot of Sii on various targets now myself. I hate the stuff. Not much ROI. Spending hours on it for very little result.
