Hi all,
I have for sale a set of Losmandy encoders that have never been installed on my system. I bought them second-hand, but, I don't think they had actually been used. And, I haven't used them, either.
These are now a discontinued product and virtually impossible to find, except occassionaly on the second-hand market! :)
UPDATE: I have been informed that Losmandy is now making these again for $525. See my latest post for new pricing.
These are very handy in that they allow you to loosen the clutches and manually push the telescope around while still maintaining RA/Dec positioning in the Gemini.
These can also be used with an Argo Navis on the G-11. More information can be had from Gary Kopff of Wildcard Innovations.
The Digital Setting Circle Hardware kit includes:
2 x of 2:1 ratio machined aluminium gears
2 x 12288 line optical encoders (RJ11 connectons)
Bits and pieces for the installation
Delrin Gear Covers
Note: this kit does NOT include the Digital Setting Circle unit.
I'll also include custom-made Y-cables which plug into the encoders and then to the encoder port on the Gemini.
The gears install onto the Dec and RA axes (instruction sheet included or can be viewed online).
Installing these still retains full use of the axes clutches.
I'll take photos and post them on the weekend.
I'm looking for $500 including express postage.
Or, make me an offer if this is a ridiculous price point.
